Hello Everyone,
The month of July 2019 was pretty eventful. Between the national election in my country and my long weekend at the island of Leukas, this month passed by in no time. Towards the end of the month, I realized that I hadn’t made any investments so far, which was unacceptable. So, I started thinking which platform I should choose this month. After much deliberation with myself, I chose Mintos (Shocker, I know) and ViaInvest. I deposited a total of €300. The First deposit was for €100 and the second one was to Mintos for €200.
Mintos
Mintos is continuing to have the highest rate among the “classic” p2p lending platforms with buyback guarantee. That, in combination with the existence of a very liquid secondary market, makes me more comfortable with it and keep adding to my account. I made the transfer of €200 on the 30th of July, and it was credited to my Mintos account in a couple of hours, which is always nice. Also, this month I crossed a milestone on Mintos. The €900 total profit which was pretty awesome and I am happy with it.
I am looking forward to crossing €1,000 in the next couple of months! Including a small number of cashback rewards, the profit from Mintos was 59.26, which translates to a monthly yield of 1.07% from the starting balance of approximately €5,550.

Crowdestor
This month my investment “Kabuki Restaurant at Salaris” paid a good chank of the principal on top of the usual interest payment and although I will get less interest from that project in the future I will take that move as a net positive since it probably means that the restaurant it working well and they will not have a problem continuing making payments. Crowdestor is picking up steam fast and is realizing many new projects often, and cash drag would be an issue on the platform. The principal I got back from the project was €22.87. Profit from Crowdestor was €5.24, which translates to a monthly yield of 1.31% from the starting balance of €400. Since only interest is paid monthly, I am calculating the yield only from the funds I have invested in projects and not idling cash.

Grupeer
Pretty uneventful month for Grupeer with a total profit of €10.92 which translates to a monthly yield of 1.06% from the starting balance of approximately €1,030.

Kuetzal
Also an uneventful month with the platform realizing 3 new projects this month with very high rates. Profit from Kuetzal was €4.27, which translates to a monthly yield of 1.41% from the starting balance of approx. €301. Again, since only interest is paid monthly, I am calculating the yield only from the funds I have invested in projects and not idling cash. They are still running some pretty generous cashback campaigns along with my promo code if you are interested in starting with them yourself.

Envestio
After much anticipation from investors and 2 months of waiting Envestio published two loans this month (technically it is for the same construction project). As usual, the rates were high at 18%, and both of the projects were subscribed very fast. Let’s hope for a continues flow of new projects like Crowdestor is doing.
Profit from Envestio was €7.09, which translates to a monthly yield of 1.35% from the starting balance of approximately €523.

ViaInvest
I deposited €100 on the platform this month and also made €20 from the refer-a-friend program this month as well which is awesome. Profit from ViaInvest was €3.17, which translates to a monthly yield of 1% from the starting balance of approximately €319.

PeerBerry
Nothing special from PeerBerry this month and profit from this platform was €2.08, which translates to a monthly yield of 0.80% from the starting balance of approximately €258.

Bondster
Profit from Bondster was €1.15, which translates to a monthly yield of 1.12% from the starting balance of approximately €103. Again, Bondster yielded the best results from all the p2p platforms (P2B not included).

You can sign-up and receive 1% cashback for any funds you invest during your first 90 days. You also need to enter the promo code “P2PIncome” to be eligible for the offer.
Summary
For the month of July 2019, I invested in 2 different platforms a total amount of €320 (including the bonus from ViaInvest), and the total return from interest, late fees, and secondary market transactions was €92.91 that represents a 7.31% decrease from last month (€86.58) and my portfolio yielded 1.05% of the starting balance which means a 12.61% annualized return. The percentage yield remained the same from last month, but the passive income earned was a personal record. Total portfolio value has risen to €9,196.

Awesome income report!
Btw, who are you rooting for in the elections?

Thanks. To be honest I was rooting for the party that won because of the tax cuts they were promising. I hope they deliver!

Speaking of taxes, how does the p2p interest taxation work in Greece?
LikeLike
It is taxed like income from interest (like the one we get from our savings account) at 15%

Is it taxed from the first Euro gained or do taxes apply only after a certain threshold? For example in Lithuania, taxes apply only after 500€ in interests gained yearly. Some other countries have similar systems too, UK I think has 1000£ tax-free. Nothing like that in Greece?

Unfortunately, no. For my savings account I only for a couple of euros and still, the tax was withheld.
